Accessibility

Access is part of the learning design.

Intero targets WCAG 2.2 AA for the website and essential learner journeys. A formal accessibility statement will name tested browsers, assistive technologies, known limitations and a review date before enrolment.

Complete learning routes

Every module provides a complete written route and a separately authored audio route, supported by transcripts, descriptive text, meaningful alt text, accessible diagrams, illustrated sequences and equivalent practice options.

Website and navigation

Core pages use semantic headings and landmarks, keyboard-accessible navigation, visible focus, labelled forms, status messages, readable reflow and reduced-motion support.

Assessment

Module checks and the final assessment are designed for keyboard access, clear instructions, visible progress, understandable feedback and error recovery. Timed assessment is not planned.

Documents and certificates

Learner PDFs and the issued certificate will be reviewed for selectable text, document titles, language, reading order, headings, contrast, links, zoom and print behaviour. Essential certificate information will also exist as structured digital data.

Somatic participation

Neurodiversity-aware, accessibility-conscious practice recognises differences in interoception, sensory sensitivity, movement preference, attention and ease of identifying bodily sensations. Practices include seated, standing, micro-movement, imagined, observation-only, words-only and no-practice routes. Learners can choose or adapt how they engage with inward attention, movement, breath, imagery and audio. The goal is meaningful participation with agency, rather than producing a preferred emotional or bodily state.

Report a barrier

If something prevents access, email contact@intero.institute. Include the page or material, what you were trying to do, and the device or access method if you are comfortable sharing it.
